Forum Posts: 31 Comments: 0 Reviews: 0 | Hi, everyone. I've reached my saturation point--again--with IMDb's Keanu board. Culling the messages from nasty people, idiots, crazies, etc. to find the ones from normal people is just too much effort, you know? My ignore list is fat, but without seeing the original messages, I often can't tell what the sane people are responding to. I'm Speed of Late there, BTW. Sonja Rostov is a character in "War and Peace," which I've never finished, if that matters. (It's spelled all kinds of ways, depending on which translation you like.) My reasons for picking it as my user name at Keanu sites are petty and unflattering, so I'll keep it to myself, saying only that it involves my very first online "enemy." Anyway, glad to be here. Thanks for the invite!

Nooo!! War and Peace is an incredibly awesome book, in my opinion. Now, Anna Karenina is the one I could never finish. Or even get to the half-way point.

By the way, a while ago Anakin was curious to know where you got your name "speed of late" from. Cool name by the way. I remember because she was curious about mine too. Because my visits to imdb have been so hit and miss, I don't know if you've explained the story behind your ID. I know I'm curious too TWO Hmmm... I think I might take this question over to a new thread...

ADMIN Forum Posts: 3076 Comments: 405 Reviews: 1 | Yeah, she explained it to me. It's a pun on 'speed of light', as in, the speed of late is the kind of speed that would result in you being late...

Forum Posts: 160 Comments: 3 Reviews: 0 | Perhaps two years ago, for funsies, I picked up a copy of Joyce's "Ulysses." What, in the name of all that's holy, was I thinking? I don't think I even made it past page 10! Tsk. |
