The Reeves starrer "Passengers" is a sci-fi/romance pic that takes place in the future, as a spacecraft is transporting people to colonize a distant planet. Because of a malfunction, a single passenger (Reeves) is awakened 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he awakens a beautiful woman.

The Jon Spaihts-penned script had been developed by producers Reeves and Stephen Hamel. Robinson is also producing.
So he's starring and producing?

...Never thought that this might be set to go before Chef...

Reviews: 13		 apparently his production company bought the script, but that's just the first step in getting the movie made. can't happen without a studio, what with the required budget and all...

and there's still a long way from this phase 'till the project actually 'starts', so to speak.
but it's a step forward...

honestly, wouldn't have thought this would happen before 'Chef' . but then again, in this business anything is possible ...

Reviews: 0		 I just read the script, and IMO I think the story is dumb. It's more of a Brad Pitt/Cate Blanchet movie. This is only an opinion. Keanu should do something different. IMO this is just sci-fi/soft core porn.

Handled right it could be very thought provoking - with K on the production end it can go a variety of different ways, all of them interesting, many of them amusing - and some of them downright dangerous (bring along your life preserver )

Let's sit back and see what they come up with eh?

Reviews: 3		 I agree...I loved the script because it taps into the choices we make on a daily basis...we never know how big the consequences can be. As I read the script I could really see Keanu doing this...almost see him in my head as I read it.
