Apparently this is bogus and heinous to "The Observer" - dig the groovy headline. An actor, speaking about art, what the hell? How dare he climb out of his box?

I came across Keanu Reeves speaking about and reading from Gauguin's book,(thanks to this site of course). I love art, and Gauguin's work with color and native scenes was something I got into. Later on there was a contest for a book cover. They requested that the book cover art be in the style of Gauguin. I jumped at the chance to enter. I looked at his styles, and decided to go for his portrait style. Though I think they went with a landscape or skyline or something, I was pretty proud at my painting, and it was all because being a Reeves' fan had bought in an opportunity to try something new.
