I'm glad the story will -hopefully- get told on the big screen. It's a beautiful, beautiful script. But it's the second time that Keanu doesn't get to be part of a project he developed from stage 1. And I'm rather angry with the universe right now.

Yes, we'll get to see the movie, just like we'll get to see Chef. But it will be different. :|

and... well. Maybe without his involvement, more people would be willing to see it. :/ And it's a movie that should be seen.

You know, moments like this, I wish he'd start a project but not mention his name or his company or anything, just keep quiet about it, and when the film is done and distributed and well received and critically acclaimed, he'd just sit in the shadows and smirk that Constantine smirk of his.
But that's just my idea of 'revenge'. Perhaps he got better ones.

Well, looks like some 'people upstairs' have something against Keanu ... and my laziest guess is jealousy.

Yeah.
I'm not sure if the silent approach would work, though, not just with Keanu but any actor - marketing is a huge part of getting that box office.
