Like he knew giving up his seat was the polite respectful thing to do but at the same time seemed kind of shy about talking to a stranger. And I am just floored that no one else recognized him. he wants to travel by tube like an average joe, he's treated like one. maybe the people who usually take that train are used to him, apparently he does take the subway quite a lot when in NY. maybe they didn't believe it's him. or maybe they didn't care. all theories are plausible :) | ||

| Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | wouldn't know, as I seldom take the subway myself, and besides living in East Europe, which is very different from NY. but I've read somewhere - can't remember where- that the rule of survival in the NY subway is to mind your own business and pretend not to notice the other travelers, and don't engage in conversations unless it's an emergency. But that's only hearsay, and the only relatives I have in NY travel by car so can't ask them :) | ||
