Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | well, most people = those who watch movies just for entertainment's sake are used with the standard action movies where the hero saves the day and the closing shot shows him standing ( well, not quite, Jack Traven was lying down at the end of Speed, but you get the idea ;)). the first Matrix movie ends with Neo flying like Superman. the American hero. actually, 'the brothers' most probably chose this ending for a reason ;) But a hero that wins by dying? by embracing his shadow and becoming one with it? agreed, there is a precedent, but it's not the stuff that action movies are made of. not usually, anyway ;) the third movie is called 'Revolutions' for a reason. there are quite a few revolutions happening by the end of it... but will shut up now. |
