maybe. or maybe I don't do blind worship and instead try to see all angles, if possible. of course I fail; I'm only human...

Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | We are all only human LucaM. I don't do blind worship either, you can ask my husband ;) But when I have investigated something or someone for a reasonable amount of time... and found that they, or it is worthwhile and the intention is going in the better direction I can let go of the endless speculation and enjoy the ride. Be here now. Letting go of "unsatisfactoryness" and just going with the flow is what makes the ride joyful. Bottom line is he knows a lot more about movie making than we do. Thank god he continues to WANT to do it and I adore his every effort to tell me stories.

True, that; and I never said otherwise. I discovered the universe/s of film due to the actor Keanu Reeves; it's by watching him that I started learning how to watch a movie. I practically owe him -and the Wachowskis- my life; if it weren't for them, I'd be a corporate vegetable lost in spreadsheets and power point presentations, typing away my life in a cubicle somewhere.

It's not just dealing with famous actors' clothing; sometimes, it's chatting with famous actors. Olds recalls talking to Keanu Reeves on the phone when some Goodspeed costumes were used for his 2011 film "Henry's Crime." Reeves also wanted to rent costumes, on his own dime, for the movie's stagehands so they could dress up (as Russian peasants in a production of "The Cherry Orchard" in the film) and appear onscreen.

Harold Perrineau interview: You’ve talked about working with Nicolas Cage and you starred in the “Matrix” sequels with Keanu Reeves. What did you learn from these action film icons that has stayed with you? When I hadn’t worked with them, I didn’t think their job was so hard but now that I’ve worked with them… man, it’s a hard job. Keanu Reeves in the “Matrix” movies, the guy never stopped moving. He went from shooting something to rehearsing something, to working out, to learning lines. He’d go to sleep, then come back and do the whole thing all over again. It was a 24-hour a day job for 2 ½ years. There was hardly a day off. I can’t do those kinds of things. I just did something really recently with Dwayne Johnson, it was really brief but the guy gets up and works out two hours a day before he comes to the set. It’s a hard gig. You can hardly get me to go to a yoga class once a week (laughs). There’s a lot that really goes into it an I respect what they do. It’s not easy to be an action hero.

Out of the 19th-century shop and back into 21st-century Huairou, we kept our eyes peeled. By Lot Eight, a sign showed promise: ‘No mobile phones on set. 50RMB fine’. A moment later, we had to double take: walking past a slightly ajar door, we glimpsed none other than Keanu Reeves in jeans and sweatshirt, lifting an enormous pair of dumbbells. Giggling girlishly, we resolved to go back and speak to him. But on returning, we found Reeves mid-benchpress, legs spread and crotch pointed in our direction. It felt wrong to approach a man in such a vulnerable state.

I know, it's crazy. I couldn't imagine working like that, but KR seems to thrive on this type of thing, no? He's obsessive! On a more shallow note... I wonder just how enormous those dumbbells were, and just how much he can press...
