Forum Posts: 125 Comments: 2 Reviews: 0 | Thanks Magic; can't take credit for the collage though, somebody else put it together (http://www.bloggang.com/viewdiary.php?id=k...roup=2&gblog=18 I think this is a Thai blog? WINM is linked there, too ) I have noticed the blonde theme in the past; do you think that has anything to do with the fact that his mother has the exact same haircolour? Not to get too oedipal, but I've noticed people tend to recreate the same patterns in life that they have seen acted out in their childhood. My brother eg married a woman, sweet as she is, who has the same personality as our mother (domineering). And with Keanu's mother having been married so many times, no wonder he has some relationship issues.

Well, good find then FR! And nice job whoever put it together! You know, that's an interesting question. And we could get kind of cheeky about whether they're "real" blondes or not. Hee Hee Actually, the women he does seem to date or at least hang out with, they all pretty much seem creative in some way. And his mom was a costumer and seemed to instill in her kids a love of culture (travel and art and music). So, my guess is that the one Keanu is looking for would at least be creative in some way and appreciate the arts. If I may psychoanalyze a bit. From what I've read of Keanu's mother, she seems to have been kind of a distant parent. (I'm going by Kim Reeves quote about how her and Keanu never had anyone to watch them play hockey (Keanu) or her show her horses and how they sort of brought themselves up.) I think that's one reason why they're so close. As for the multiple marriages and all the moving, I could see how Keanu could have some issues. Though, I think his dad's abandonment plays a pretty big role too (don't get too close to people they could leave (hurt) you). Again, if I could just armchair speculate. I would hope that his mom being so close to Keanu in his later years would help heal some of those early childhood wounds. Not sure if they have, but it would be nice if they did. She would often go to Dogstar shows and his movie premieres and to his Walk Of Fame event. (I don't recall if she was at the Street Kings premiere or The Day The Earth Stood Still? Maybe Street Kings was too violent for her? If I recall the movie premieres his mom went to were: Sweet November, The Lake House, and I think there were a few more. Maybe she just like the romances best?) I hope he finds someone awesome soon. He sounds like he's ready for his second stage of life (from the Vogue interview). edit: Actually, thinking back on it, he does seem to like women with accents. His mom is English.

Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | is there room for yet another armchair psychoanalyst ? *settles in comfortably* you know... I think psychoanalysis is overrated... but... judging by my own experience and observing the people around me... I'd say there are several 'options'. one can perpetuate, unknowingly, the 'pattern' one has seen and lived through as a child. or can willingly decide to do the opposite and live one's life 'making right' the 'wrongs' done to one as a child... or, third option ... wise up, follow one's own structure and live one's life according to one's inner guide... now from what I've read here and there I know the American school of psychoanalysis is very big on Freudian interpretations... but although Freud was the founding father of this discipline, he's just the beginning, not the end of it... not everything we see has Oedipal subtexts ... but from what I've read in interviews since 2006 onwards, it looks like the man has asked himself a lot of questions... and that he's working on finding the answers. fine, lecture over. *leaves armchair *
