Forum Posts: 184 Comments: 11 Reviews: 0 | Yeah, I love it when Giants Stadium gets chomped by the nanos. I rocked out there to a massive Billy Joel concert back in the late 80s. Nothing like 60,000 people singing "Piano Man" together. ;D
Anyway, thanks for the review, LucaM. I'll take "Keanu Reeves is actually quite good" comment with pleasure.

Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | I wonder if its commonly known that TDTESS was filmed with an entirely green agenda? Everything recycled and reused. I was recently viewing the extras including the 2 deleted scenes. One has a strangely, albeit adorable, tight closeup of his left foot while he was in the wheelchair. I can't make the blu-ray work in my computer so I can't share but there are a lot of stills too. In the behind the scenes extra there is a time or 2 that he's in street clothes and rehearsing Klaatu and twice he broke character in his Klaatu suit. You know that was fun for me. :) Erwin spoke of the 1951 version being the first sci fi he had seen when he came to the US from Romania so it had special significance to him. I am going to get the regular dvd from netflix and see if the special extras are on that one too.

Forum Posts: 345 Comments: 10 Reviews: 0 | in reference to the opium tea. "Because Nick Cave" answers many questions though. This one played a lot in Australia, 90s while I was living in the middle of a rain forest with just myself and the kids. From Wiki: Henry Lee", a variant of "Young Hunting", is a song by the Australian post-punk band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It is the third track and second single from the band's ninth studio album, Murder Ballads (1996), and was released on 26 February 1996 on Mute Records. The song, which features a duet between frontman Nick Cave and the English alternative rock musician PJ Harvey, is alternately–arranged in comparison to other more traditional versions of "Henry Lee." Lyrically, the song borrows heavily from Dick Justice's version of the song.[2]

Forum Posts: 18 Comments: 1 Reviews: 0 | Well, I've just watched this (haven't seen the original) and I thought the film was pretty good. I thought Keanu's performance was superb. That scene with Kathy Bates-where he said it's not your Earth-He came across as super sinister but in a very subtle way. I thought he was perfect in this role and I'm so disappointed at the way the critics really tore him apart. He can't win, can he? I've been catching up on some of his films then reading the press reviews afterwards. Some of them are so cruel and unjustified! Coming out with the same old tired cliched comments to raise a cheap laugh at his expense. I'm guessing this had really set him back career wise.
