Yay, confirmation finally! Previously the only dissenting view was a single article by Fox News, so I wasn't sure how legit it was. But what I can gather of the facts: - it was USD$38 mil, but due to some journalists including the currency and others not, it changed from country to country and got inflated to all kinds of weird amounts - Keanu basically signed off (some? all?) of his percentage earnings for the Matrix sequels to the costume and special effects departments (not people), so that the Wachowskis could afford to finish making the films because they'd gone over budget. Some news article probably reported that, and following articles assumed that he'd given the money to the individual workers rather than the departments. - He did give the 12 stuntmen a Harley each. - I love that Keanu had no idea what Roth was talking about. bless. | ||

Keanu wouldn't have known how much it was, either way, because they were percentage earnings and not a fixed sum, and depended on how well the Matrix sequels did. | ||
