Well that bit of fiction couldn't have happened 15 hours ago as at the time Reeves was in Tokyo. Owner of that account is 'Gonna Be A Freshman In College This Fall, At the Age Of 17 -Cristian Jimenez' and I really doubt Reeves would accept his dinner invitation, even if they actually met and even if the guy really drove a Lamborghini. ;)
Or maybe that is indeed a Lamborghini ?

The guy in that photo is Cristian's friend and it could be a private joke between them.

"Get This: I'm Chilling, Cruising In My Lamborghini, And Out Of Nowhere, I See Keanu Reeves Leaving a, "Forever 21" Store, In A Motorcycle!?? Crazy Right?! Well, I Asked My Favorite Canadian Actor, "Can I Buy You Dinner?" The Dude Said Yes, And Instead Of Me Paying For Dinner, He Payed For It Instead!!! Nice Guy, Although Not As Cool And Radical Like I Thought.. He's A Bit Gay. #KeanuReeves #LeatherJacket #IThinkHesGay #Matrix #IsStillAGreatMovie"

This sounds like he meant gay as an insult, not as a statement of sexual orientation; because nothing about being attracted to guys makes someone not cool or radical nor has any effect on the quality of the Matrix movies.

Also, what LucaM said!

Thank you, Anakin and LucaM. I am so pleased that WINM is indeed mostly free of this sort of nonsense - pretty clear that the post referred to without a link is, er, bogus. No one here (to my knowledge) is able to clear up the "mystery" of Keanu's sexual orientation, not that it's any of our business or about to affect any of us in a personal way (sadly enough). We are not "defending" Keanu's sexual orientation, whatever it might be, because it requires no defense. The implication that someone is "bothered" or "troubled" by Keanu's sexuality or romantic involvements and liasons really annoys me.

I do not understand why people keep poking at his private matters like sexuality etc. as if they never knew that he hates to talk about these the most if he wants to be appreciated for the work, then I say I like his work ... just it is.

OK, I'd been really, REALLY avoiding commenting on this for like weeks, but seriously? Wasn't this YEARS ago? And who gives a rat's butt about a Slate editor? You literally can't look for anything about Keanu on Twitter without this thing coming up at least 50 times. Ridiculous.

[edit] Sorry, that sounds more pissy than it should, but I'm annoyed that Slate takes a random act of kindness on Keanu's part and turns it into a snarky viral video so much after the fact. It's almost like they're annoyed that a Big Hollywood Star would act like a normal, if kind, human being - as if it reflects poorly on their own sarcastic, unpleasant view of humanity (perhaps because it DOES?)

The video seems to have made a reappearance - it's been going viral again on various sites, so it's not Slate who dug it out again.

You're right, Anakin - it has been viral for a while, but their commentary about it still rankles.

https://twitter.com/IanNofool -> Who is this person?

And what does he/she have against Keanu?

#KeanuReeves owes apology to Erwin Stoff, to his fans, to his family & business partners, to all the vulnerable targets he has hurt for FUN.

#KeanuReeves will receive a lifetime achievement in the category of the most immature and heartless Player. He is a genius of deception.

This is obviously false, but its still upsetting.

That person is an online stalker and a scammer; is trying to get Keanu Reeves' attention through slander and blackmail.

Looks like so far it didn't work ;)

Oh please. "IAmAFool" has been doing this for years and years and years - repeatedly and dramatically telling yarns of Keanu's imaginary and nonexistent misbehavior. The distressing part is that (excessively gullible) people actually follow it and believe this SLANDER. There have been Fakeanu "reports" like this for a long time - supposedly getting a big kick out of initiating TOTALLY unverifiable "liasons" with needy chicks, playing with their emotions and dumping them.

It's almost worthy of some of Keanu's "people" (of which there are likely 4-5) telling it to cease and desist, but that brings more attention. It's one of the many things that SUCKS about celebrity culture (please get me started). Also well worth noting that NO other celebrity has ever managed to keep the level of crap secret that this asshole alledges that Keanu has done. There's no proof of any of it, never has been, never will be because it's bullshit.

Temporarily ending rant.

Oscars 1995, it was a time of the very memorable films like Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Speed, The Lion King, Four Weddings and a Funeral, etc. and Keanu, of couse.

and LucaM, you're right, that troll shouldn't be fed, but it pisses me off and it knows that legal action would only bring it attention. Any damn fool who believes that crap - where there is not, has never been, and will never be a shred of "evidence" - from that disgraceful coward is not worth my consideration. I'm baffled by people who call themselves "fans" who nonetheless follow that jackass, but hey, whatever.

To make this slightly constructive, and applicable online for pretty much anything - I don't take anything I see online at face value. If it isn't backed up by facts, it's not real to me. Any damn fool can say anything at all online and assume (ass-u-me) that no one's going to bother to check it out. Bits and snippets are just that - maybe factual, maybe not.

well, the moment the fool started implying Keanu Reeves is writing under my usernames at different forums/social media sites... she definitely lost any credibility whatsoever.
I mean, I looked up, down, left, right, in all my closets, under the bed, in the car trunk, scanned my computer, but nope, no Keanu Reeves here. Sadly.
Just a Sad Keanu figurine, and only since December last year ;)

And when she started asking various people at Topix for money... well. That says it all.

As for legal action... the tweets have been reported to the people in charge. Whether they will do something about it or not, is up to them and their client who was slandered in those tweets.

Amen to all of that.
Glad to know you have a Sad Keanu, I do think I need one.

But no, I have not found Keanu in my closets, under my bed :-( in the car trunk, the garage, sitting on the patio with a beer...will be sure to let you know if I find him.

Funny, you say "she" - I've never been quite sure about that.
I'd missed the thing about asking for money on Topix, that's a bit psycho. I had seen some attacks on people around Keanu too, talking about what bad people they are, blah blah blah. That, also, is actionable and not at all true.

The tweets are libel / slander, and I am very sure indeed that Keanu's people (person) are/is well aware and, being consummate professionals, will take the appropriate action, which might be none.

eh, Fool's story kept changing and morphing until at some point she slipped and referred to herself as 'she'. I never bought the 'male friend' story anyway.

At least three people at Topix posted about Fool asking them for money.

The least attention we give her, the better.

PS. Sad Keanu is perched on a speaker on my desk, guarding my collection of pens, pencils, etc. keeps him busy ;)

so, here's a question that I have NO intention of asking Fool (because asking Fool for proof is exactly like asking Bill O'Reilly's fans for "proof" of his "wartime journalism") - if Keanu was a "disrespecter" of women (not in my experience, I might add), how to account for his long and apparently mututally-supportive relationship with about the most ardent feminist of whom I'm aware?
