Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | Love’s Bewilderment The Sufis have a beautiful phrase: Love: Bewilderment : The other word in the phrase. Who am I ? Who are we ? What is aware? What seeks? What seeks what? This is the glorious bewilderment of our Being. Surrender is the peak where all roads end. There is nothing but love. And the Self shines from everything. http://ashramof1.tumblr.com/post/30159916707

From Spirituality and Practice web page: To love God is to follow the mystery, to be led by its showing and withdrawing. Mysteries are not to be solved. The eye goes blind when it only wants to see why. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. At the heart of every story is Mystery. The reasons we attribute to events may be far different from their true cause. Often our first interpretation of events is quite different from our last reading of them. Mystery is a process, and so is our understanding of it. Our life is a faint tracing on the surface of mystery. In other words, mystery, from the Greek word mysterion, is not about what we can solve but about what astonishes us in splendor and horror: that part of creation that can be experienced but never completely explained. This spiritual understanding of mystery is quite different from our common, everyday understanding of the term. Mysterion is about experiencing mystery as awe, not just as something secret and hidden. Paradox is in fact a hallmark of western spirituality, an ongoing reminder that mystery is the heart, the atmosphere and completion of our spiritual quest, that the ultimately untouchable is forever at our fingertips.

All that a Guru can tell you is: ‘My dear Sir, you are quite mistaken about yourself. You are not the person you think yourself to be.’ Trust nobody, not even yourself. Search, find out, remove and reject every assumption till you reach the living waters and the rock of truth. Until you are free of the drug, all your religions and sciences, prayers and Yogas are of no use to you, for based on a mistake (individuality), they strengthen it. But if you stay with the idea that you are not the body nor the mind, not even their witness, but altogether beyond, your mind will grow in clarity, your desires in purity, your actions in charity, and that inner distillation will take you to another world, a world of truth and fearless love.

Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | Light and Darkness, life and death, right and left, are brothers of one another. They are inseparable. Because of this neither are the good good, nor evil evil, nor is life life, nor death death. For this reason each one will dissolve into its earliest origin. But those who are exalted above the world are indissoluble, eternal. (The Gospel of Philip)

Forum Posts: 146 Comments: 7 Reviews: 0 | Detachment of duality is what I get from it. The truth is unchangeable and has no name...you can give it a name ... it is lost only that identity. If it has an identity then it has an beginning and end, it is not the truth. We are the truth hidden behind the name and live in duality. At least that's my take on it. Why question if someone gets this or not ? I don't see the issue???

Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | Yeah, well ya know everyone is at their own level of comprehension/understanding. Some things we connect with and others we don't.

Yes indeed LucaM. I would love to talk about this, maybe with a glass of dark red wine...
@ Bliss, it wasn`t my intention at all to ask if someone get`s it or to check someone`s "level of understanding". It was a kind of rhetorical question, I was really impressed by the scope of that text...
