Forum Posts: 474 Comments: 6 Reviews: 0 | I don't got there. What's the use? Car wreck fascination?... Specially when you can get such great fresh fish over at the TDESS pond. Edit: *goes there*

ADMIN Forum Posts: 3076 Comments: 405 Reviews: 1 | Yeah, but the ones on the TDTESS pond have mostly all been fished. Ted's head -> I think we've been kicking that thing too long. We should get a new one. *looks cheerily in the direction of Donnie Barksdale*

Forum Posts: 474 Comments: 6 Reviews: 0 | *comes back from Dracula board* Why, oh why did I go there... Is it wrong that this made me lol?: By the way, The Matrix was on TV yesterday. He delivered that line quite normally, and not at all Ted-like. Why do people confuse that damn MTV Sex on The City/ The Matrix joke with the actual movie? It's really unfair... *goes ninja attack on Donnie* I saw a few episodes of Naruto the other day; it's giving me ideas.

ADMIN Forum Posts: 3076 Comments: 405 Reviews: 1 | Car wreck fascination. I think the line just stood out as a classic line on its own because of all the stuff that preceded it. It was the first spoken bit after a long stretch of silence and computers. Nothing much to do with how Keanu delivered it, I think. Which reminds me of that strange thread on the Matrix boards some time back about how one guy insisted that he remembered Neo sitting up in the chair and going, "I know Russian." Donnie: What kind of ideas?
ckage | 2008-07-22 18:45:28
Forum Posts: 474 Comments: 6 Reviews: 0 | I wish I could be this optimistic... OK, to some people it might be an iconic line, and also a pointer as to what the Neo character was going through, in terms of realization of his capabilities. But I really think that, to the majority, it's just used as mockery of Keanu's performance in terms of acting: these people REALLLY confuse that MTV spoof with the movie. For example, I don't think they know he did NOT say "whoa" in that scene, and almost everytime I see it quoted, THERE'S the "whoa", as in... the MTV spoof. Just the other day I was lurking in some forum, and this dweeb asked if there was a youtube film with all the times Keanu said "whoa". I wonder if he realized that that youtube would have been filled with Bill and Ted scenes, and perhaps that ONE line from the Matrix, and not much else?... that Keanu does NOT spend his time uttering the word... And... Russian? I tell you, people's memories are a weird place... *multiplies* + + + + *goes after Donnie again*

ADMIN Forum Posts: 3076 Comments: 405 Reviews: 1 | We should totally make a Youtube vid of all the times Keanu said whoa! So far the count goes: 11 'whoa's in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 2 'whoa's in The Matrix 0 'whoa's in Matrix Reloaded 0 'whoa's in Matrix Revolutions Donnie:

Forum Posts: 268 Comments: 0 Reviews: 0 | But I have to say that when I read Bram Stoker's Dracula for the first time, I imagined Jonathan looking more or less like Keanu, and I didn't even know Keanu at that time

Forum Posts: 474 Comments: 6 Reviews: 0 | When I read the book, that was not how I envisioned that character at all. It was one of the things that bothered me about the movie. *kicks the black cat*

Forum Posts: 474 Comments: 6 Reviews: 0 | I was talking about this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqNE7A-p614 which might be vaguely funny if there weren't so many idiots that, apparently, think this was the way Keanu acted in the actual movie.
