( I could never pull those journalistic phrase twists ) plus it's so interesting how language subtleties can be lost in translation... just compare the English and the French version and you'll see what I mean... anyway, case closed... | ||

I thought it wasn't clear as in definitive as in we start shooting in ... ( insert month or period ) but Ani... There was a gap in the magazine section (in the mens section, where it would most likely be. Along with GQ), so it got my imagination going, either it sold out SUPER quickly OR they're going to put it out on Tuesday. I say Tuesday, because that's when a lot of new books and CD's and DVD's are released. (I'll check back Tuesday. Fingers crossed)On the flip side, Luca were you the one who got into James Ellroy? I picked up the Black Dahlia for $4.00, so I was pretty stoked about that. I've had James Ellroy on my MUST READ list for some time now and kept meaning to get to it. | ||

I thought it was sold out too... 'till I got the good news. yeah, I'm the one who read almost all Ellroy novels available... one piece of advice, though - don't stop at Dahlia. if possible, read all four "LA novels". they offer quite an image of post WWII LA... cops and robbers and their connections with the show-biz world and all that... although it's fiction, it's pretty well documented... Ellroy is a research fanatic. | ||
