They're US-premiering Henry's Crime at 4PM. The $75 ticket is for the awards ceremony, which starts at 8PM (I think.)

I don't know . . .I don't have anyone to go with and I don't want to go alone, the tickets are pretty expensive, Keanu will probably be barely visible and unapproachable (I don't mean unfriendly, I know he's a beautiful human being inside too), and I don't think I want to lurk around outside like a stalker either. I have to sleep on it. I hope tickets aren't sold out by tomorrow, probably will be, though. :(

Here's an article/interview focussing on James Caan and his role as Max. Seems like he made some vital changes to the character. Interesting. I wonder if the script in the WINM archive is from before or after those changes were made.

Video clip interview from the red carpet. I'd just LOVE to know which dead-end job Keanu wouldn't go into specifics about. Hmm..

Edit:

And here's a long and detailed interview with director Malcolm Venville, definitely worth watching. I love it when interviewers actually know what they're talking about. Some good questions here. I wish we could get more interviews like this.

OK, fan duty time: go to http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/henrys_crime_2010/, login with your Facebook ident, and upvote Henry's Crime. There are no reviews yet, but they're bound to start being added soon. Crossing fingers and toes and hoping that the reviewers "get" the story.

I like how Malcolm Venville really gets Keanu's style:
"he has a very subtle, restrained and beautiful style about him his aura is very special".

I admire how Keanu refuses to demean or dishearten anyone by specifying what he would consider a dead-end job. That was very effective.

wtf, James Caan beat up his ex-wife? And then someone on his IMDb board said "she probably deserved it". :\\
He was divorced three times, and apparently his current wife just filed for divorce too...

A male relative of mine has an outwards personality with similarities to how James Caan presented himself at TIFF. Y'know: the trickster type, funny and charming, somewhat loud and brash, seemingly pleased with attracting attention, etc. The kind of guy who happily takes up all the space, so to speak. And a bit careless about how they present their opinions, bordering on being rude under a veneer of humour.

Living with someone like that can be tough, because they leave no room for the people around them. It's a constant battle for attention, recognition and praise. And the veneer of humour tends to come off behind the walls of the home. What remains is a narcissistic black hole that sucks the life out of everyone around them.

Hanging with people like that for the duration of a family dinner can be trying. Anything longer must be hell on earth.

ink , billion thanks for that Malcom Venville interview link. it's a great interview. managed to wash away the bad taste of that awful press conference.

PS went to rotten tomatoes; put my facebook account to good use.

This may be a stupid question but will Keanu actually be at the Rosendale theater premiere of Henry's Crime on Oct. 3rd?

Am I missing something? Where are the reviews? WHERE ARE THE REVIEWS?? Is it just Henry's Crime, or are the film critics at TIFF still too busy to actually write anything about the films they've seen?

Ebert was at the HC premiere. I hope he liked it. Oh please, movie gods, let him like it.

Adrianna, I wouldn't expect Keanu to be at the second screening at Woodstock, but he will definitely be at the first. Then again, he did attend both the first and second screening in Toronto. The fact that they still don't have a distributor might make him attend the second one at Woodstock, too. If he stays to do press on the second day, that is.

Well I really hope so because I just got tickets and it's a substantial gas bill that I'll be looking at just for the road trip :)

If Ebert writes about it, he'll tweet. but frankly... Ebert's opinions on movies don't impress me much lately. he seems to fail to get many undertones...
he's the film critic who disliked 2001 A Space Odyssey and who failed to see Joaquin Phoenix's documentary as the prank it is.
so... his liking or disliking HC won't mean much to me.

although if he DOES review it, it will make an interesting read... will he diss the movie, only Keanu, or both? now I'm curious...

James Caan, asked who's funnier, him or Keanu : " I am ; Keanu's not funny, he's like an oil painting "
OMG, Caan's been reading the internets ! ;) :D

or the whole cast was aware of the meme, etc...
we is watched...

Thanks Luca, I'm very excited. I can't wait to tell you guys all about it. Catching a glimpse of him in person would be incredible, if he ends up being there.

Yea I saw that too, James Caan really put it bluntly. The meme is silly but honestly, Keanu never stuck me as funny either. Intense, deep, thoughtful, introverted and sensitive are the vibes I get, but I love him for it. Not everyone has to be a comedian.
