http://torontoist.com/2008/04/reel_toronto_jo.php Oh, and be sure to watch the video clip of the fantastic "I want room service!!" speech. Marvellous. The anger, the frustration, the despair - it's just a brilliant scene. Me loves it. :-)

Anakin: I enjoyed johnny mnemonic for what it was (a fun action scifi movie) but can't help think of the squandered potential.

blueclover - me too, especially after reading a few of Gibson's and Keanu's interview lines about that. But hey... so it goes , as Vonnegut would say ;) pity about Gibson's work, though. it deserved better.

Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | the beauty of it is that this scene was not included in Gibson's original screenplay.
probably it was written later, while the shooting developed. anyway. it's one of those gold scenes ;)

Forum Posts: 39 Comments: 0 Reviews: 0 | Johnny Mnemonic is one of those severely effed-up characters that I love. It's similar to Constantine. In a way, both protagonists are left on their own. Both only have a couple of friends or rather acquaintances and both are helped by a female working partner, who seems like the only person he can really trust.
The room service scene is legendary. ^^ Although it's nothing more than a great reference when talking about the film. I liked the mid-90s "sci-fi" technology. It was definitely fun to watch.
