Bertolucci says he asked the Dalai Lama if it was ok if he made a movie about Buddhism and the Dalai Lama said that he didn't mind as Bertolucci had the right kind of detachment already. Then Bertolucci said he wanted to make a movie that even kids could understand. And at the end he said that he wanted to convey to the people the feeling he had when he first encountered Buddhism. | ||
