I just started reading the script for "Untitled Chef Project" and I think I'm gonna cry. HOW, dear God, did this not happen???

Hollywood. :(

I think it's still up for development though, just not with Keanu.

EDIT: Yep: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt2503944/

They're already filming. With Bradley Cooper in the title role, which makes me sad because he's like the anti-Keanu.

Yeah, though I didn't know it was filming. You're right, he is SO the "anti-Keanu" and reading the script, it calls for a significantly older man (in a good way, of course :-) more experienced, sophisticated, worldly, been-around-the-block a few times.

just Keanu + cooking! + swearing en Francais? [cry]

AND it happened with Stoff and 3 Arts producing.
And according to Variety, TWC has something to do with it.

(not surprising, since Cooper seems to be Weinstein's golden boy)

At this point, I'm curious just how much the original script has been butchered. :|

Finally watched 'Burnt'. They took a good script and ruined it. Watered it down. Sweetened it.

The original script (the version we have here in the archive) is wild. The final cut is tame. Is playing it safe.

The Adam Jones from the original script is intense bordering on insane. Bradley Cooper's Adam Jones is intense-ish. Kinda.

Also, the tone changes from 'Food is memories. Food is love. Food is time lost' (in the original script) to 'We should be dealing in culinary orgasms. When is the last time you had an orgasm that was interesting?'(final cut).

oh well.

I was SO sorry that this didn't happen with Keanu (in a Marco Pierre White-sh way - or better - in a Martin Picard/Fred Morin/David McMillan/Normand Laprise kind of way, because they're all crazy and wonderful people) and even with David Fincher, who I find...odd. I think it would have been brilliant and crazy and the whole "food is memories - food is love - food is time lost" sounds EXCATLY like the kind of thing at which Keanu would just soar.

I won't be watching "Burnt" - Bradley Cooper, meh.

Well, there's always the remake. ;)

From the trailer:

"Adam Jones. I thought you were dead."
"And now I'm back."

...but was he thinkin' it
