In a court document filed with the Superior Court of Justice in Barrie, Sala claimed: "I believe the respondent, (Reeves) is the biological father ... The respondent was at the birth of the named children and will confirm that he knew of the children and the possibility that he fathered the children."

OK, so she even claimed that he was there at the birth of the children (all four of them?). Wow. That should make it all the more easy to prove her allegations, as I'm certain that the hospital staff would remember it. ;-)

Previously she said she only thought Keanu fathered at least one of her kids.

It is great news - I am thrilled to hear it. I have been thinking about it since last night and I do though have some thoughts on the whole mess.

1. How the DNA results were leaked. I can't help but have my guard up because of the way they were leaked. Since this is a legal matter and results are a matter of public record - were the results given in court prior to the mediation date of Oct 16 ? Also the scoop went to TMZ and then of course it went viral. The lawyers jumped on it then and added to it.

2. No one from the courts has said anything other than the plaintiff (karen) and the defendant's attorney (wolfeson sp?) I know it says that this matter will be decided on Jan 7/10.

I guess it is just the "doubting thomas" in me. Till I hear from the the judge or their representative I won't be jumping for joy. I am very wary of legal allegations that are tried in the press. I want to see Keanu vindicated legally. I believe him, but that doesn't mean it will hold water in court.

The very fact it has gotten this far may mean there are more surprises than we know about. Besides if there were any doubt in Keanu's mind I really do believe he would have taken care of things much more privately.

We will just have to wait and see. But things are definitely looking up to be in his favor.

Well, $25,000 dollars might not just be a few bucks to many
people but it would be to Keanu. How would the lab tech get caught...no one will question the result.

Well...if a lab tech was paid to alter the
results...it would not surprise me at all. Whatever, he turned in his DNA and he doesn't have to pay any money. The big gift to him is that many woman will be even more sure that he is straight and they will feel empowered to persue him for mating privileges.

there was no torture involved...if he had never had sex with the woman, he had nothing to worry about. If he knew he had had sex with her...he needed to give his DNA, it's really pretty simple.

and to all the other posters that obviously get it now. Something has always been wrong with the sala story. This imo proves it. No crazy lady has that much power to harrass a Alist superstar. Let her choose tom cruise and she would see what would happen. I think its ridculous, and I know canadian law is different, but, no judge wouldnt throw this out of court by now, and everyone as usual is just making more money.

It doesn't matter if she was unbalanced
The court sytem in Canada must be very lenient but since she was able to go forward he needed to clear his good name and DNA is the only way that could happen and it be unequivocal. Now she looks the fool when she is saying the test wasn't accurate. He is free to move on .

A Toronto lawyer representing actor Keanu Reeves said the results of a paternity test prove Reeves never fathered children with Karen Sala of Barrie.

Reeves wasn't relieved, said Lorne H. Wolfson, because he knew all along.

"He was confident the tests would prove he was not the father, he never had any doubt."

Reeves, who went to primary school and high school in Toronto, always maintained he didn't know Sala, and that he had never had any relationship - intimate or otherwise, with the woman.

Sala alleged she had a sexual relationship with Reeves before, during, and after her troubled marriage. In court in July, she said she believed Reeves may have fathered one or more of her four children, now in their 20s.

Sala was seeking $3 million per month in spousal support, retroactive to November 2006, as well as $150,000 per month in child support, going back to June 1988.

Wolfson said he was in court for six hours with Sala on Tuesday.

"I don't think she's happy with the results," he said. "She's known about it for a number of weeks."
